Mauro got into construction as a teenager and never left. While most people his age were figuring out what they wanted to do, he was already on job sites learning how homes are actually built. Not from a textbook. From the people doing the work every day. Years of that is what he brought with him when he started Aloe Contracting and opened the doors as a contractor in Barrie.

Over the years he worked on everything from small renovations to large custom home builds across Simcoe County. He saw what good contractors did and he paid close attention to what bad ones did too. The late callbacks. The vague quotes. The crews that showed up one week and vanished the next. The homeowners who felt like they’d lost control of their own project.

That’s why Aloe exists. Not because Barrie needed another contractor. Because it needed one that people would actually tell their friends about. The kind where every client feels like the only client. That was the bet. And so far, every person we’ve worked with has proven him right.
