A General Contractor in Simcoe County Who Knows Your Town
We’re based in Barrie. When something comes up on your job site, we’re 20 minutes away. That changes everything about how your renovation goes.
Renovations and Custom Builds Across Simcoe County
Aloe Contracting is a general contractor based in Barrie, Ontario. We handle everything from kitchen and bathroom renovations to custom home builds from the ground up for homeowners across the region.
We know the permit process in every municipality we serve. We know which trades do the best work in each town. And Mauro is personally on site for every project, not managing from a desk somewhere else.
The scope changes from project to project. The standard never does.

Where we’re based and where most of our work happens. We’ve done kitchen renovations in south Barrie, finished basements along the waterfront, and custom builds in every neighbourhood in between. We know the permit process at City Hall and the people who do the best work in this city.
Alcona, Cookstown, Stroud, and the Lake Simcoe shoreline all fall within our reach. The newer homes here often need finished basements, and the lakeside properties are ready for a proper kitchen or bathroom renovation.
Orillia has century homes in the downtown core and lakeside properties on Couchiching and Simcoe. A lot of the older homes here need foundation work and a full renovation done right.
We work across Blue Mountain Village, the harbour district, and everything in between. Chalet renovations, custom builds for families who’ve made the permanent move, and additions on established homes all keep us busy in this area.
This town is becoming a place people live all year, not just a summer destination. Cottage conversions, insulation upgrades, waterproofing, and the kind of kitchen remodel that turns a seasonal place into a real home. That’s the work people call us for here.
Building in cottage country comes with its own set of challenges, from seasonal access roads to waterfront setback requirements. We understand the logistics and bring the same quality to every lakeside project we take on.
From Midland and Penetanguishene to the smaller communities along the shoreline, this is an area we know well. The projects here range from waterfront cottage renovations and additions to new builds on challenging lots.
Bradford is one of the fastest growing towns in Simcoe County, with new development around the GO station corridor. We work on brand new homes that need finished basements, older properties ready for a kitchen or bathroom upgrade, and commercial spaces keeping pace with the growth.
This is a community where people stay put and invest in the home they have. Most of what we do here is kitchen remodels, additions for growing families, and full renovations that make the house fit the life.

Why Hiring a Local General Contractor in Simcoe County Matters
There are real, practical differences between a local contractor and one driving in from the GTA.
We Know Your Permit Office
Barrie’s building department works differently than Innisfil’s. Collingwood’s zoning is different from Wasaga Beach’s. We’ve navigated every municipality we serve. That saves you weeks.
We Know the Best Trades
The electricians, plumbers, and finishing specialists on your project are people we’ve worked with for years in this region and trust completely. Not strangers from a job board.
Your Contractor Lives Here
Mauro is personally involved in every project. He’s on your site, in your community. Not managing your renovation from a desk in Toronto.
Same Day When It Matters
When something comes up on site, and something always does, you want a contractor who can be there the same day. We’re 20 minutes away, not two hours.
Service Area Questions
Our core service area covers Barrie, Innisfil, Orillia, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Muskoka, Georgian Bay, Bradford, and Alliston. That includes most of Simcoe County and the surrounding region. For the right project we’ll go further. If your home is outside these areas, call us at (705) 881-2791 and we’ll let you know if we can help. We’ve taken on projects across Ontario when the scope and timeline made sense for both sides.
We don’t. Our quotes are based on the scope of the project, not the distance from our office. A kitchen renovation in Innisfil is quoted the same way as one in Barrie. The only time travel becomes a factor is with remote cottage properties in Muskoka or Georgian Bay where seasonal access or material delivery logistics require additional planning. We’ll always be transparent about that during the consultation, before any work begins.
Yes. We’ve filed permits and coordinated inspections with the City of Barrie, the Town of Innisfil, the City of Orillia, the Town of Collingwood, the Town of the Blue Mountains, the Town of Wasaga Beach, Bradford West Gwillimbury, and multiple townships across Simcoe County, Muskoka, and the Georgian Bay area. Every municipality handles permit applications, inspection scheduling, and zoning differently. We already know how each one works, which means fewer delays and less time spent waiting on approvals.
Every community gets access to our full range: kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, basement finishing, custom home builds, home additions, commercial renovations, windows and doors, roofing, basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and basement underpinning. We also handle cottage renovations and permanent living conversions in Muskoka, Georgian Bay, Wasaga Beach, and around Collingwood. No matter where your home is in Simcoe County, you get the same team, the same trades, and the same quality.
That’s one of the most common projects we take on in Muskoka, Georgian Bay, Wasaga Beach, and around Collingwood. A full conversion typically involves upgrading the insulation, adding or replacing the HVAC system, plumbing upgrades for winter use, foundation or crawlspace waterproofing, and often a complete interior renovation including the kitchen and bathrooms. We understand the logistics of waterfront builds, seasonal road access, and the municipal requirements in cottage country. If you’re thinking about making your cottage your permanent home, we can walk you through exactly what’s involved.
The hardest part is reaching out. Everything after that is easy.
Tell us where you are and what you’re thinking. It doesn’t need to be detailed. Just enough for us to start a real conversation about what’s possible for your home.
